Residents in the Rancho Mirage Country Club community enjoy luxurious living, and convenience to everyday services and entertainment in the City of Rancho Mirage. The Rancho Mirage Country Club acquired new owners, and was closed while the transaction was taking place as of September 2015.
Homes in this neighborhood have many amenities and designer upgrades with new bathrooms, stainless steel appliances in the kitchens, fireplaces, beautiful master bedrooms, large windows, and travertine floors. The Home Owner’s Association fees cover common area maintenance, four swimming pools and spa, 24-hour gate attendants, cable television, and insurance that includes earthquake coverage. The country club is separate from the community and normally offers golf, tennis and health facilities. Public schools for this area include Nellie N. Coffman Middle School and highly ranked James Earl Carter Elementary and Palm Desert High School.
The Rancho Mirage Country Club community is situated in the heart of the city and is just 15 minutes from the Palm Springs International Airport. It’s also close to many venues like The River, El Paseo, McCallum Theater, and the Westfield Shopping Town. Eisenhower Memorial Medical Complex is nearby for emergencies and out-patient care.
The City of Rancho Mirage has many outdoor activities all around the Coachella Valley like hiking, biking, and horseback riding. There are also facilities for tennis and swimming; and the city has 12 golf courses. Thunderbird Guest Ranch which was opened in 1946 was the first to be built. Popular resorts include the Tamarisk Country Club, Mission Hills Country Club, The Springs Country Club, Sunrise Country Club, and Hotels Missions Hills Resort.
Rancho Mirage was incorporated in 1973 but was settled in the 1920’s and 1930’s. Many stars and politicians that frequented this city included Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, Ronald Reagan, and Gerald Ford.
